Quicken R53.32 has been Crashing - Ran Super Validate

The super validate report showed the following after my most recent crash (2nd in about a week).

QDF:
Cannot attempt data-specific validation.
Your file is from a more recent version of Quicken.
No errors.

I don't know what this means. How can my file be from a more recent version of quicken? Is it the return of Y2K in 2024?

I hate to say it, but it might mean that there is corruption in your data file that Super Validate doesn't understand.

You get crazy messages like this sometimes from bad data in a file. For instance, sometimes a corrupted data file will get the prompt for a data file password that never existed.

I would be inclined to see what happens when validating a backup file.

Note that you can change a backup file type by just changing .QDF-backup to .QDF, and then you can use the Browse in the Validate & Repair dialog to validate that file while still in your current data file.

I closed then opened the same file. All seemed ok. I ran a regular validate and it passed.

I'm going to open an run OSU tonight and try the super validate again.

I opened the file and before doing an OSU I did a super validate. All seems good.
    QDF:
    Validating your data.
    No errors.

    Super validation has completed.

Then I ran OSU. All seems fine. No crash today.

Sounds good. Sometimes just restart Quicken/computer is the "solution".
