Ticker Symbol for downloading CD price (edit)
Hello Quicken Community -
It's my first question in a long time. I need to edit a ticker symbol. In Edit Security Details, the Symbol is greyed-out so I cannot easily edit the symbol. Other fields are available, but not the symbol field. And I don't want to lose historical information. Any thoughts on how to edit the greyed-out symbol?

There are certain security types that don't have a symbol. You must have the security type set to one of these types. Change it and you will be able to edit the Symbol.

The change suggested my Chris_CPW worked. I changed the security type, changed the symbol, then changed the security type back to CD.
Thanks!

What security? What current symbol? What symbol do you want? Why the change?

The security type is set as a CD. Peoples Bank 5.15% 02/29/24.
The incorrect symbol is 710465KYo
The correct symbol is 710465KY0
I believe that I would need the correct symbol for price download.

A CD would never be downloaded by symbol, it isn't a publicly traded security.
Downloading would be done using the CUSIP and would only be downloaded as part of downloading transaction information from your financial institution. They have to provide the price.
