I’m working with an elderly woman who was using a very old version of Quicken until her computer crashed and she was forced to upgrade. Obviously, she was using it without linking to her checking accounts.
Now she is subscribed to Quicken Classic for Windows, and she doesn’t want to link her accounts.
Is there anyone else out there using Quicken (online version) that doesn’t link their checking accounts? I have questions:
- How do you reconcile the accounts? Is there a manual way to tell Quicken that a check has cleared?
- The fact that some important columns don’t show up in the register is a real hassle. I figured out how to add “Deposits”. Can I also add “Check Number” and “Check cleared” for manual entry?
