OneStep Update

OneStep Update gets stuck in a "waiting" mode for several bank accounts. Once that occurs, Quicken is nonresponsive and I have no choice but to force quit. Transaction entry and backup seem to work ok. The last time I used Quicken a few days ago, the OneStep Update was working fine. I have rebooted several times, checked for software updates, etc. Nothing seems to work. What is going on?

    Hello @Sc0rp_58,

If you haven't already, I suggest you try signing out of your data file completely and then signing back in to refresh the registration token for your Online Connected Services. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.

    1. Navigate to Edit
    2. Preferences...
    3. Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
    4. Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID)
    5. Follow the prompts to Sign Out
    6. Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password

Once that is done, see if the issue still continues to persist.

    Hope this helps!

I followed the recommended actions, which moved the process further. However, it was akin to watching paint dry. The OneStep Update took a solid 35 minutes to complete when it would normally have taken less than one minute. The only thing that I recall that occurred immediately prior to this issue surfacing was Quicken's request to update the software. The resultant lengthy wait time is just not acceptable. What is the resolution?

    Thank you for following up.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Quicken? Please refer to the following support articles for instructions on uninstalling here and reinstalling here.

However, after you have uninstalled and before you proceed with reinstalling, please open your Windows File Explorer and navigate to This PC > C: Drive > Program Files (x86) and delete the folder titled "Quicken" (doing so does not affect your data files). After you have deleted this folder, go ahead and try reinstalling.

Let us know how it goes!
