How do you permanently turn off Quicken sync?

Every time I add a new account, it completely messes up my entire account.

It's 2024 and it's trying to sync stuff from 2022.

It just did this a few weeks ago and I had to make a line item called, quicken f'd up again.

I do not even have my accounts set up to connect to anything, because it never works properly.

It's very frustrating. When it did it a few weeks ago, I went in and made sure there everything was turned off to not do this again.

Something that should have taken 2 seconds, has no turned into a budget nightmare.

To assist with this issue, please provide more information. What is getting messed up when you add a new account? Is it still trying to run One Step Update, even with no connected accounts in your file? If not, then when is it trying to sync, and what is prompting it to attempt to sync?

Just to confirm that Sync is turned off, have you gone to Edit>Preferences>Mobile & Web and made sure that Sync is off there?
