Quicken hangs on start-up
This happens quite regularly. If I reboot my computer, then Quicken will open fine. However, I'd like to know why this happens and if there is a way around this. It is a pain to have to reboot my computer just to use Quicken.

When did this issue begin? After a recent update? At what point of start-up does Quicken begin to hang? Do you receive any error codes or messages?

It's been an issue for awhile - over a year. It hangs after I enter my password. And it doesn't happen all the time. No error message - just the Windows message asking me if I want to close the program or continue waiting.

Thank you for more information, I apologize for the delayed response.
To start with, I suggest that you please try validating and/or super validating your data file. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.
Validate:- File
- Validate and Repair File...
- Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
- Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
- Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.
If the issue persists, proceed to Super Validate. If the issue is resolved after performing validation, then please disregard the instructions to Super Validate.
Super Validate:- File
- Hold CTRL + Shift and click Validate and Repair File...
- Super Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
- Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
- Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.
