Mobile & Web tab
I have tried numerous times to remove the Mobile & Web tab but it keeps coming back after a couple of restarts.
I have been using the Main menu View-Tabs To Show-Mobile & Web selection. When I deselect it the tab goes away but then a couple of days or restarts later it has re-appeared.
Where do I need to go to remove it permanently? I have all syncing for Mobile & Web disabled in my preferences.

Hello @jtgostars,
To help troubleshoot this issue, please provide additional information. When did you first notice this issue? Does it happen roughly every couple days, or less frequently, or more frequently? Is there anything that seems to trigger the behavior?
Since sometimes being on a shared drive or synced with a cloud service can cause unexpected behaviors in Quicken files, do you keep your Quicken file on your C drive or is it on a shared network drive? Is your Quicken file synced with any cloud service, such as One Drive or Dropbox (if it is, you will usually see the service name listed in the file location)?
The simplest way to check your file location, if you have Quicken up and the file open, is to click on File, then look near the bottom of the list, just above where it says Exit. It will list the file locations for the 4 Quicken files you have most recently accessed, with the one you are currently in at the #1 spot.
If your file is not directly on the C drive or is synced with a cloud service, try moving it to the C drive and unsyncing it, then testing to see if the unwanted behavior persists.
I look forward to your reply!

Answers to your questions below;
First noticed end of January or so
It happens whenever I do an update; I can open Quicken, Go to Menu View-Tabs To Show-Uncheck Mobile & Web. Run an update and the Mobile & Web tab returns
All Quicken files are kept on my C Drive
No syncing/backup for Quicken is done anywhere except on C Drive

Thank you for your reply,
Just to clarify, when you say you run an update, do you mean you run One Step Update to update your accounts in Quicken? If that is not what you mean, then please clarify what kind of update is triggering this behavior.
If this behavior is being triggered by One Step Update, then the issue is most likely a file specific problem. The first troubleshooting step for file issues is to try running a Validate/Super Validate. Please save a backup file prior to performing these steps.
Validate:
- File
- Validate and Repair File...
- Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
- Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
- Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.
If the issue persists, proceed to Super Validate. If the issue is resolved after performing validation, then please disregard the instructions to Super Validate.
Super Validate:
- File
- Hold CTRL + Shift and click Validate and Repair File...
- Super Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
- Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
- Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.
Please let me know how it goes!
