Since moving to Schwab, I have found several transactions that fall under uncategorized when I run and Investment Income report. However, I cannot find a field where I can assign a category.

Never had this problem before. Am I missing something?

In investment accounts, the Category is determined by the Action. So, what Action is associated with these transactions, and what would you like it to be?

E,G, a "_DivInc" is always going to be a Dividend. Can't be anything else.

@steel certain investment transactions don't have a category such as Bought, Sold, Added, and Removed. These transactions will be under "Uncategorized" with a net zero balance on the Investment Income report.

It’s odd. I’ve been using Quicken for investment transactions for 30 years. I have always been able to categorize transactions that erroneously showed as uncategorized. Now there is no category field in the transactions in question.

    Quicken 2013:

The ones that you can change the category on will have the category on the "Enter Transactions" dialog:

Note this is another instance, where I'm always fixing it (as it is entered) to get the "category" right:

My wife's 401K administrated by Merrill Lynch is constantly a few cents off.
