Edit reminder for rent misdirects to wrong window
I used to be able to edit the due dates by going to a reminder and choosing "edit this instance and all future instances". This no longer works for rental properties. It misdirects and goes to the window "Edit rental property tenant", which doesnt have the ability to change the dates. If you choose "edit this instance" it works properly, buy not the other one. This used to work, now is broken.

Hello @whodiini,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I forwarded it to the proper channels.
To clarify, when you try to edit all instances, is this the screen you see?
If that is the window you're seeing, then you should be able to change the dates by clicking the dropdown next to "Rent due on", selecting the new day of the month for it to be due, then clicking OK to save the change.
I hope this helps!

When Quicken automatically creates a rent Reminder (when the user assigns a Tenant to a Property), Quicken always creates a reminder that acts as you have explained: it has been that way since rental property features were added to Quicken over a decade ago. It's not a user-friendly feature, but Quicken is working as designed.
Fortunately the Quicken-created rent reminder can be deleted, and a new manually-created user-friendly rent reminder created.
Delete the Quicken-created rent reminder as you would delete any other reminder, then create your own rent reminder.
The rent reminder you create should have the following characteristics:
- A "Due next on" date that falls on, or after the start of the rent period; and on, or before, the end of the rent period
- A Frequency that corresponds to the real-world rent frequency
- A "Pay to" name exactly equal to the Quicken "Tenant" name
- A "Category" that is an Income category with a Schedule E rental income tax line item. The out-of-the-box Quicken category, "Rental Property Income:Rent Income" works fine, for example.
- A "Tag" equal to the Quicken "Property Tag"
- An "Amount due" equal to the agreed-upon rent for the period
- A "To account" with the name of the Quicken account where the real-world rent is deposited
- You can give the rent reminder an "End date" of the last rent payment due for the current "lease", if desired (in the same dialog as that for "Frequency")
