R54.16 - new Pending feature avail without updating to R55.xx

Running R54.16 - and noticed tonight a banner about the Pending Feature
appeared above my Register - along with the new setting in Preferences.

NOTE - there was no software update - but in fact there was "something" that was somehow slipstreamed into our Quicken software -

    Yep, R50.14 was affected likewise. It's clear that Quicken can be updated without your say-so.

    The pending code has been there for a while. They can turn it on or off with a server setting.

    the desktop software must have been updated when they first tried this - which must have added the hidden Preferences setting - which then must be visible when things get enabled at the server…

    I personally would be leery of using the pending transactions feature on any version before they announced it in the release notes, which is in R55.26. As @miklk said the "code" has been in for quite some time, in fact for two failure rounds of it. That isn't to say that it is the same code that is in R55.26.
