Capital Group American Funds not showing online balance to reconcile

I've followed the discussion threads and was able to connect my new Capital Group American Funds accounts.

The Market Value seems to be correctly uploading on the two accounts, as are the online transactions.

However, when I try to reconcile, the online balance continues to read $0.00. I'm also not sure if the "Transfer from Checking" transactions are working correctly, although I'm doing the same process as I do with all of my other accounts.

I'm using Quicken Classic Deluxe version 7.7.1 for Mac.

Direct Connect is the only option available.

    Hello @kbarberia,

To assist with this issue, please provide more information. What kind of account is this (investment, checking, savings, etc.)?

If this is an investment account, then the Online Balance when you reconcile is the account's cash balance. Is $0 the correct cash balance for your account? If it isn't, is there any other way that cash may be stored in your account, such as using a form of cash equivalent security?

I look forward to your response!

Yes, this is an investment account. The account value is listed as cash — it's listed correctly in the market value, just not as the balance or online reconcile balance. Thank you for your assistance.

    Thank you for your reply,

Does the cash balance in your Quicken match the cash balance reflecting on the financial institution's website? Does the financial institution store cash in cash equivalent securities?

Also, please keep in mind that when reconciling an investment account in Quicken for Mac, it reconciles just the cash balance, not the number of shares or market value. For a more thorough explanation of reconciling an investment account, I recommend reviewing jacobs' post from an earlier discussion:
