Since April, any QFX downloads from Simplii Visa (regular bank accounts are fine) are resulting in this error when trying to import into Quicken:

"Quicken is currently unable to verify the financial institution information for this download. Please try again later."

As a Quicken US user, I can see that a financial institution exists named "Simplii Financial".
Googling it, I can see that this is a Canadian bank, part of CIBC

In your Quicken Canada, can you find Simplii using the Tools / Add Account process?
You must have a valid entry in your Canadian financial institution list (a file named fidir.txt) with the proper options specified to import QFX downloads.
I have no access to this list and can't check to see what's defined or if the entry is missing altogether.

Have you contacted the credit card's 800-number and asked for instructions how to download into Quicken Canadian version for Windows? Either download a QFX file from their website or download from within Quicken …

If you haven't done so already, I'd say it's time to call Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and request help. Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it. Do be sure to mention that you are using the Canadian version!

The Canadian FIDIR.TXT does indicate Simplii is enabled for Web Connect and Express Web Connect; HOWEVER, the Web Connect version only supports bank accounts, not credit accounts:

    05060 05060 05060 Simplii Financial
    https://www.simplii.com/ 1-888-872-4724
    https://www.simplii.com/en/home.html ACTIVE
    BANKING&WEB-CONNECT
    BANKING,CREDIT,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT

@can00k I suggest you try switching to Express Web Connect.

I just talked to Brad at Simplii, he went to the December R53.26 update and was able to import the Simplii visa transactions. I "updated" to the R53.26 release and was able to import the visa transactions again. I updated Quicken support via the "live chat" and so they are aware of it.

Apparently I can not post links yet. Google how to install a previous version and/ or "Reinstalling and patching your Quicken Subscription version after your membership has expired (Windows U.S. Version)" and go to the December R53.26 version.

In theory, the difference should be that by downgrading to an older version you reverted your FIDIR.TXT file to a version that included Credit in Web-Connect field. Are you able to locate your FIDIR.TXT file and find the entry for Simplii and verify this? I didn't think that the FIDIR.TXT file was linked to the version as I thought it was periodically updated regardless of version, but by your description it sounds like you rolled the clock back on that file.
