Should I renew?

Well, to be blunt Quicken loves to renew, but they rarely fix anything. My frustration has offended some of the support community here. Quicken seems to be unable to correct the citi download processing (don't care whose fault it is).

If I don't renew, will my local Quicken continue to function?

If you have Deluxe or better you can still use Quicken in manual entry mode after your subscription ends. And manual entry means everything has to be entered by hand - you don't get to download any data, not even stock prices IIRC.

If you have Starter, then it becomes read-only and you can't enter any more data.

Running Quicken Home & Business. , so it's an idea. I've worked out the process of just going to citi and downloading transactions myself and then importing them.

@CharlesG after your subscription ends, you will not be able to import transactions via QFX (web connect).

@CharlesG - FYI: If you do not renew and continue to use Quicken manually you will have banners reminding you to renew that will take up about 20%-25% of the Quicken screen. These banners can only be removed by resubscribing. It is bothersome to some users but others seem to not mind it so much.

@CharlesG Please note the crucial point made by @mshiggins in this thread: you will NOT be able to import downloaded files once your subscription lapses. Quicken considers this part of its connected services, as the ID of the financial institution must be verified as part of that import process. So when your subscription lapses and switches to manual, manual means you would have to enter all transactions yourself. And as noted by @Boatnmaniac, you will lose about the right 25% of your Quicken screen to a permanent banner encouraging you to renew; if you have a large enough monitor that you can make your Quicken screen quite wide, you may find this workable, but it's intended to annoy you enough that you'll want to renew.
