Are PAYEES case sensitive in Reports ?

happen to run a Banking - Transaction - report grouped by Payee - and noticed this

Our "Commonwealth Edison" was list with TWO entries - all CAPS and normal punc…
So - is the Payee "case sensitive" in Quicken ?

    That does seem to be the case. I changed a Lowe's transaction dated at the beginning of the year to all caps and after that this transaction ended up at the bottom of the "Lowe's" list of payees.

    All caps sorting to the bottom is weird, because the lower case ASCII characters have higher values than the upper case ones.

    It appears that the filter that groups the case variations together is not case sensitive, but the sort order is case sensitive and puts caps after lower case.

    I was thinking the same thing -
    A = 41
    a = 61
    the difference is the ASCII 20 or "space" -
    You just apply the "space" to the text string, and it all becomes UPPER or lower - depending upon which way you want to go

    and yeah - the lowercase should sort toward the bottom - not the top -
