When will they fix the known error causing spinning wheel?

When I boot up Quicken classic as it's now called under Windows 11, then try to download transactions, I get a spinning wheel icon for up to three minutes. I asked and this is a known error. That was a week and 1/2 ago. When are they going to fix it?

Who did you ask? Because I've not previously heard of such … and I'm not experiencing same.

Have you tried taking a backup and then Validating your Q data file … because a corrupted file CAN cause such problems.

And, re: When … Q never announces fixes until they're released.

I am not experiencing any issues resulting in a "spinning wheel" when attempting to download transactions, so it's not a Quicken issue or we would all have the problem. The first troubleshooting step I would try is to restore a known-good data file.

    Hi @jkph00

Can you give us some additional information that may help us to assist you?

Which types of accounts are involved - banking, investment accounts, credit cards, others? Also what are the names of the financial institutions involved?

Does this affect ALL of the accounts you have set-up for downloads, or just some of them?

Which version of Quicken are you running?

Are you seeing any other unusual activity in Quicken in addition to the above?

Any additional details will help us to help you. Thanks!

    Frankx

One possibility is opening a data file that in a "cloud folder" like OneDrive, since there might be a conflict with trying to open it.

If you have your data file in such a folder, try moving it out of there and opening it.
