cc-800 errors on Amazon updates

The persistent cc-800 error that is a subject of discussion in other threads here may be triggered by a restore. For a year or more, I've had periods where these errors were returned for Amazon Store Card on every sync. Then they go away for a long period. Then they return. The errors are spurious. Transactions are correctly and promptly updated despite the error. And for me, the errors only occur on Amazon Store Card. After a period of not getting the errors, they started again immediately after I restored from a backup. That's one occurrence. So it could be a coincidence.

Thanks, Quicken Anja. I'll go through all those steps when I have time. Those steps have worked sometimes but usually within the first few days after the cc-800 errors appear. If you have influence with the software engineers, you might suggest that they fix the bug instead of relying on users to repair its effect. The link you provided implies that the general area in the code where the bug exists is known. The link you provided shows it was updated recently, but those steps and the problem have been around for a long time.
