New Transactions Don't Always Download
On windows. S&T Bank & PNC Bank. Back in January & February, the Quicken program wasn't downloading all the transactions from our bank account. I made a call to customer service in both January & February. Both times they were able to get the missing transactions but unable to fix the problem. They also left me with a messed up version of my file after creating multiple files and then going back to my original & working on it too. This causes a lot of extra work on my part. The issues continued off & on as the month have continued. Because the downloaded transactions aren't always accurate any more, I have to look to see transactions that the bank shows for our 8 accounts then download the transactions in the Quicken program & compare the 2 each day. I'm frustrated with having to do this each day. I pay the yearly fee so that the Quicken program will do this. Instead of it working all the time, I have to have this daily routine to insure that I get all the transactions. So far in June alone there has been 4 days when the transactions didn't all download.
June 6th - 2 transactions downloaded - 6 missed transactions from 1 account - had to deactivate & reactive that account to get transactions
June 17th - 31 transactions downloaded - 3 missed transactions from an account - had to deactivate & reactive that account to get transactions
June 19th - 0 transactions downloaded - 3 missed transactions from 2 different accounts - had to deactivate & reactive that account to get transactions
June 21st - 2 transactions downloaded - 1 missed transactions from an account - had to deactivate & reactive that account to get transactions
Is anyone else dealing with this issue?

To help troubleshoot this issue, please provide more information. Is 6 June when you first noticed this issue? If not, then when did you first notice this issue? Is this issue affecting all of your accounts with these financial institutions? Are your financial institutions connected by Direct Connect, Express Web Connect, or Express Web Connect +? To check that, go to Tools>Account list. In the Transaction Download column, it should show you which connection method is being used for each account.

January is when this started happening. I called customer support. They couldn't resolve it. I called again in February. Again they couldn't resolve it. I've muddled along with it happening off & on since then.
I started logging it in June.
S&T Bank is express web connect for 6 accounts. Happens mostly with the General Fund & Online Giving as they are the most used accounts.
PNC Bank is express web connect+. There are 2 accounts with the bank.

When downloading transactions, are you allowing Quicken to automatically accept them into your registers?
Is there a common denominator among these "missed transactions"?
For example, are they all transfer transactions between accounts?
Or are they repeat transactions for the same Payee Name and same amount, within a week or 2 of each other?My guess is that some of these transactions are being mismatched to prior transactions already downloaded and accepted when they should have been marked as "New".
Manually reviewing and accepting each downloaded transaction to ensure correct match to an already existing transaction or creating a new transaction as needed might help solve these problems.-1 -
I have this same issue except none of the transactions for any account (credit card, bank, or investment) have come down since I allowed the update to Quicken Deluxe R57.16. I can log on to any of these sites and push transactions down and I do not let Quicken accept any transactions without my review. Every time I go through the deactivate/reactivate process, I ensure I have a current backup to restore my files since Quicken has hosed more than one account in the reactivation process.

Updated Quicken Deluxe to R57.16 the other day. Attempted a One Step Update this evening and although it says that it connects and downloads the transactions from the financial institutions (2 institutions, 11 accounts), 0 new transactions are downloaded. (The last time I downloaded was several weeks ago, so there are plenty of transactions to download.) The Financial Institution update happens way too quickly compared to how long it has taken in the past. The Update Bills works correctly as the latest bill amounts are correct. Unfortunately, I cannot push the transactions from either institution, so right now Quicken is useless.

I am always missing transactions from just after a credit card statement date to just before the new statement date. This happened to me once before and was fixed by Quicken Support. I don't recall if it was the same credit card or not. However, after paying for a subscription, Quicken Support tried to get me to pay for the fix, which I refused to do.
When finished fixing the problem, Support suggested:
(a) Frequently run File → "Validate & Repair File "
(b) Use File → Exit, instead of X-ing out Quicken.
Obviously that didn't stop the problem from recurring!It's absolutely amazing how many threads on this topic have been opened and closed without Quicken finding and fixing the problem! I have been relegated to manually entering the missing transactions using the new statement.
This lack of support is all very upsetting. I would move to another service provider, if I could.

Quicken Support is included with your Quicken subscription. If you were talking to someone who was demanding that you pay extra, then you were not talking to the real Quicken Support. Quicken support's contact information can be found here.
The Community is a forum where users help each other and there are a handful of moderators like myself who can do some troubleshooting with you. Posts on the Community are not the same as contacting Quicken Support. A post is not a trouble ticket and will get closed when it has been inactive for about a month, even if the issue is not resolved.
When it comes to issues with missing transactions/transactions not downloading, our ability to troubleshoot via the Community is quite limited because we do not have access to the same tools that Quicken Support does. If the issue isn't resolved by following the steps in this article on missing transactions/transactions not downloading, then I recommend that you contact Quicken Support directly because they do have the tools needed to look into the issue further and escalate as needed.

I'm taking a month off of downloading transactions to see if that works better for me as I have had to check daily to see which items had or hadn't downloaded. This should insure that the Quicken download doesn't change my beginning balance of my account either as it did last month. There are a lot of other things to do at work beside babysit the downloading transaction feature with the Quicken program and all the extra work that it brings with it.
