Account Setup to Connect to Navy Federal Credit Union fails

When trying to set this up Quicken is taking me directly to the account list rather than a logon page for Navy Federal instead of the logon page first. So Navy Federal fails with 500 auth error.

Using Quicken Classic Deluxe for Mac, Version 7.7.1 (Build 707.53346.100) , MAC OS 14.5

Regards, Peggy

    Hello @ptgator,

To help troubleshoot this issue, I checked on our end and can see you got a FDP-390 error. That error message means that Quicken is seeing one or more accounts with Navy Federal Credit Union that need to be reauthorized. This article provides more information about migrating your Navy Federal Credit Union account(s) to the updated connection method. If you have followed the steps from that article and you're still seeing a 500 error, then please contact Navy Federal Credit Union for further assistance.

    I hope this helps!

I went thru this a couple of months ago. Now I'm getting the message again that I need to re-authorize my NFCU accounts. I go thru the entire procedure and to make a long story short I got a message from NFCU for all 5 times that I've tried this that my accounts are linked to requested third-party service, however, when I go back to Quicken, it times out on this screen, attached. I've checked for Quicken updates. I've quit and restarted Quicken. My NFCU accounts aren't listed in the Online Updates list. I go in and try to 'authorize downloads' and it sends me on the same circular path that never works. This is really getting aggravating. When is this going to be fixed?

@wfinigan as an fyi one thing I found on Navy Federal is I had to authorize Quicken under the More tab and select Security. Mine is still not working I've had to reach out to Navy Federal who is helping me to resolve the issue.

@wfinigan and @Kristina - I solved this issue by making Edge my default browser (I was using Chrome) and this fixed my issues and was able to connect to my Navy Federal Accounts.

Why are we paying for a subscription when unable to connect to Navy Federal CU for week now.

I'm getting the same behavoir. It works fine for my accounts. But I have a different file for my wife's accounts and it is not working there. It has worked in the past but has stopped working. I tried using Edge and checking the NFCU third-party security settings mentioned above and neither fixed it. Let get a solution to this.

What I found in my setup was one of the many NFCU accounts (checking line of credit) wasn't using the same (newer) auth method as all the others and that was the one that was causing the failed re-authentication loop. I disabled that account, and the others updated correctly. I haven't tried re-enabling it yet.
