American Express Delta Reserve Account, 2 different card numbers
Hi, My wife and I have a single Delta Reserve Account with American Express with two different Card Numbers. Her and I both have independent Login to American Express because we have other independent American Express Cards under each of our accounts. In Quicken, these all authorize and download without a problem. The problem is for the single (Delta Reserve) account I get all transactions (hers and mine) downloaded into the single account under my login and she gets her transactions from this account (her card) downloaded again into her account as duplicates. I've been told when authorizing to always authorize all accounts, but maybe in this case I should not authorize her card number on this single joint account. Is that the correct method to handle this double download?
Thanks.

Hello @James Nail,
Based on your description of the issue, it sounds like you are the primary account holder and she is the authorized user on that joint account. The correct method to handle this double download depends on how you prefer for it to appear in your Quicken.
If you track both your accounts and hers in the same Quicken file and you don't want that account there at all due to everything being a duplicate of what already downloaded into your account, then I'd recommend that you backup your Quicken file, then delete her Delta Reserve account from Quicken.
If there is history in the account that you need to keep, but you don't want any new downloads due to those downloads being duplicates, then you would backup your Quicken file, deactivate her Delta Reserve account, and delete any duplicate transactions.
If it is convenient for her to be able to see just her transactions, but you don't want it to mess up net worth calculations or throw off numbers in reports, then you may prefer just to mark the account separate.
I hope this helps!
