Categories not auto populating for Memorized Payees

As can be seen below, the memorized payee list includes the payee and the category but does not auto populate in the registry's category field. Any suggestions?

Did you go to MickeyD's twice today? Because that's what shows in your 2nd graphic.

And, the 2nd graphic shows a txn date of today, 6/29, which also shows in the 1st graphic. While the txn high-lighted in the 1st shows "Last Used" of 6/27.

It looks to me like you're mis-comparing.

Yeah, this is confusing. I only went to McDonalds once on the 29th but entered the same transaction twice when I was playing around with it. Let's try a different example: Aldi. Shouldn't "Groceries" auto populate the Category field in the register displayed at the bottom?

One of the other super users mentioned they resolved a similar issue by choosing the Reset Quicken Warnings in preferences.
Edit to add: It is in the "Alerts and Messages" section of preferences.

What are your settings in Edit / Preferences / Data Entry and Quickfill?
These are my settings, for comparison:

The unmarked entries are at your discretion, whether you need them enabled or not.
The 2nd and 3rd setting are needed for working with Memorized Payee List entries.
I recommend enabling and setting the very last option to keep the Memorized Payee List trimmed of junk.

Okay, that's helpful. Apparently "Recall memorized payees" got unchecked. Checking it got it working. Puzzling though that "Complete fields using previous entries" does not complete fields using previous entries.

These days I wonder what that option even means. It seems like whatever purpose it had in the past is no longer there and that it should just be that one "Recall" option.
