Online balance reported incorrectly.
I have a problem with a differing Quicken online balance. What I find is that my balance and the balance of the posted charges at Citibank's website always correlate perfectly BUT I
noticed today that the online balance is less than the real balance by exactly the sum total of the PENDING charges. It's like the behind the scene calculation thinks the actual posted balance includes the PENDING charges so it subtracts them to get their calulated online balance.
I have two credit cards from Citi, one account I've had for 14 year and the other I just opened. This issue is ONLY on the old account, the new account online balance and mine correlate perfectly. This issue is new over the last couple months.

I'd suggest turning OFF "Pending Transactions" in Q. There's numerous issues with that feature.
And, the "Online Balance" is downloaded from your bank. It isn't calculated. SO, if it's wrong, blame the bank, not Q.

I would check to see what the connection type is for the different Citi credit cards. I believe the problem where you can't get a second card setup for Direct Connect still exists. As such, the old card might be setup for Direct Connect and the new one for Express Web Connect +. And that might account for the differences in behavior.
But like @NotACPA said the online balance is downloaded with the transactions, it isn't calculated, and one of the typical things that does happen is that it includes pending transactions when it shouldn't. And note even if the new pending transactions feature in Quicken is on, the online balance downloaded from the financial institution should never include the pending transactions.
