My Quicken is on a laptop in a secured area. I access that laptop via VNC whether at home or on the road. Recent updates of Quicken have issues displaying on VNC. This is the first case I can ever remember of VNC not faithfully rendering the host. It works on everything I've ever used across Windows/Linux/Android.
The problem started with some of the redesigned reports I think. I fixed the problem by disabling early access. That was last winter and I don't recall exactly which reports were affected.
Running my month-end yesterday, I found that when I went to save a modified report, the save dialog box is completely empty. The controls are there and if I can guess where the buttons are I can click on them, but I cannot see them.
Whilst VNC is connected, the screen is wrong on the laptop as well.
I have discovered that IF I VNC into the laptop AND the lid is open so the screen is on, the dialog box will properly display. That doesn't really help me though.
Again, I have never seen such behavior on any other software product. For some reason Quicken is having an issue with VNC on the newly design UI.
