Tried to add new Navy Federal account: disaster
Recently I received notice that my Navy Federal accounts download would somehow be changed through One Step Update, though I can't recall the exact terminology. This week I opened a new CD at Navy Federal and tried to add it to my account list. Quicken found and added the new account and all the other accounts I have there, and linked them all to existing accounts except the savings account. Quicken wanted to add it, if memory serves correctly, but I corrected and linked it to the existing account in my list. However, I didn't notice that one of my small CDs had been linked to a savings account at another bank. This error was discovered after the next download. I tried to go online and link the CD to the proper account in my list, but Quicken kept going back to the same incorrect account with a message that the account was not found at Navy Federal and should be disabled in the One Step Update. I went as far as deactivating the account in Quicken and still Quicken linked it to the wrong account and gave me an error. I think I've tried three times with the same result.

I fixed it this morning. I deactivated each account, closed the program, restarted the computer, opened the program, and setup the accounts again and all is well. I should have deactivated each account last night instead of only the trouble maker…lesson learned.
