Hello @hronen,
To assist with this issue, please provide more information. Is this happening when running One Step Update? You put in your vault password, then get a multi-factor authentication prompt? Which financial institution is this prompt with? Have you gone to that financial institution's website to verify your contact information is correct/current?
I look forward to your reply!

Running One Step Update, Vault password is good, Requested to enter a code for a bank to get transactions downloaded. Drop down screen offers choices to get a code. Choose my email address which is a yahoo account (same as my user name). Never receive the code. Have verified access to my account via their web site. Other choices for getting a code are home phone number and mobile phone texts (which works fine).

yes. this happens after logging in in the vault with the corect passcode. I have verified my account and user name and able to access my account via my cell phone messages. My bank is the Apple Federal Credit Union. Is this a Quicken issue or a Yahoo issue. Also happens when not on Quicken.

Thank you for your reply,
When you say this also happens when not on Quicken, do you mean that authentication codes sent by other programs or websites also fail to arrive at that email? Are the codes just delayed, or do they never arrive? Have you checked the Junk or Spam folder, in case the codes are being redirected there?
When you get the multi-factor authentication prompt in Quicken, does it give you the option to choose phone number instead, or is email the only option? If email is the only option, you may want to talk to Apple Federal Credit Union about this issue, since it is the financial institution, not Quicken, that determines the multi-factor authentication requirements.
Thank you!

Thank you.
Authorization codes from other web sites and programs other than Quicken requiring codes never arrive to the designated yahoo email address. They are not delayed…just never arrive. Also have checked my Spam folder and nothing appears in that folder.
Phone numbers, email address, and mobile phone number are provided. As a result, I primarily end up using my mobile number and get the codes via a text.
In trying to find a solution, I called Yahoo about this issue. They led me to the “filters” page and I discovered that my bank address had a filter that sent codes directly to Trash. After deleting the filter, the previous blocked bank codes appeared in my Inbox. I never created the filter so I have no idea how that filter was created or when. Weeks ago I could get codes for my bank so it appears the filter was just created recently??
That solved the codes for my bank and getting the codes using the Quicken Vault to access my bank (Apple FCU) transactions.
Still have to try other programs and websites to see if the codes are blocked. or not. So, for now I am ok getting codes via email when using the Vault. There are no other filters in my Yahoo account.
Thanks for the help, guidance, and patience in helping me. No longer for Quicken to be involved on this very confusing issue.
Thank you again.1 -
