A note to QuickUserPSP (and anyone else having serious CC-503/CC-929 bank connectivity issues)…
I have been experiencing CC-503/CC-929 issues on two of the three datasets that I manage. I tried every cut/paste solution offered by the Quicken folks who frequent this site to no avail. I called CS but, after placing me on hold, they dropped the call. I reached the point of actually considering transferring money to new bank accounts to avoid the problem…until I realized that it was likely that the "new" accounts would eventually encounter connectivity errors too.
Then, I ran across a post from QuickUserPSP where he/she stated "The only way that you are going to fix these CC-503 errors on all of your accounts using EWC is to create a new Quicken ID and have Customer Support transfer your subscription to the new Quicken ID".
Intrigued, I created a new Quicken ID. Given that it is the weekend (and nobody is working at Quicken Support), it was not possible to have CS transfer the subscription. However, I had an activation code on hand that I had planned to use in January 2025 on my old User ID when my current subscription expired. I used that code to activate the new User ID (yes, I now have two active subscriptions).
Long and short, I logged in with new new User ID, loaded the two affected datasets…and was able to successfully connect.
I plan to call CS tomorrow and have them transfer the remaining balance of the subscription on the old User ID - hopefully they will be agreeable.
I am not a techie so I have no idea why this worked…I just know that it worked for me. I hope that by posting this, someone else may be able to resolve their CC-503/CC-929 issues.
My thanks to QuickUserPSP!
