There was a post today 'RESOLVED 7/24/24' from Anja but 1) there is no solution documented and 2) I tested today again and it is still occuring: not able to connect to download my amex savings account transactions (with the dedicated userid/pw).

Same problem for me. I have both card and savings accounts, but only the card account show up to be connected.

I have the feeling that Amex doesn't support Quicken downloads for savings accounts. That's why i was surprised to see that the 'issue was resolved 7/24/24' and posted this question how it was resolved. Perhaps Amex changed their support (but doesn't work for me)

    Hello @pbmsmit and @Jkirkpa380,

The alert regarding this issue has been marked resolved. Due to you still experiencing this issue, I suggest reaching out to Quicken Support directly for further assistance as an escalation may be in order.

The Quicken Support phone number can be found through this link here. Phone support is available from 5:00am PT to 5:00pm PT, Monday through Friday.

Pbmsmit is right. I searched Quicken on my Amex savings account and got this message: "At this time, American Express Savings does not allow sites like Quicken to log in on behalf of our customers. This protocol is in place to protect Savings customers’ personal information. Savings does allow you to download transactions so that you can import them into sites like Quicken by following these easy steps…" The download instructions are for web connect where you select a range of dates, then drag and drop into Quicken. Not the quickest way to update Amex savings. Fortunately, I only have to use this technique at the beginning of each month.

Interesting, don't see any download on amex. Anyhow on the chat with support, and we recreated the problem, sent logfiles, and created a new incident that they work on. So I guess the message 'RESOLVED' was premature. @Jkirkpa380 it is a prereq to have a separate userid (and eamail) for logging on to the savings account, i assume you have that.

Ooooops, was to optimistic: they closed the ticket 11190984 after 2 mins without solution or message. That is not good 😩 Will try in one or two days again, this takes to much time for such a simple problem…….. but (working) quicken support is on my verification list when I open a new savings account, to many banks lack support for Quicken.

I have the same issue. On June 27 Quicken stopped connecting to my AMEX Savings Accounts (I do not have a credit card). I submitted at ticket and yesterday the issue was marked Resolved by Quicken. When I tried to reestablish a connection with AMEX Savings I received an error message from Quicken stating that "Quicken couldn't find any accounts to add" and that I should contact AMEX Bank, which I did, and they gave me the same response that they have for the last 6 years (We don't support connections to Quicken). So I contacted Quicken support and asked them how they can report an issue as resolved when it wasn't. They told me "It has been resolved AMEX will no longer allow Quicken to connect with AMEX Savings".

This is obviously deceitful on the part of Quicken, I resent it.

So the 'resolution' is that it is not supported by Amex and according to Amex never was supported. So why are there messages and functions in Quicken to suggest it is supporting for Amex Banking? It even has a recently new function for AmexBank Web Connect.

Yes it's a resolution about nothing. Quicken support is morphing into Comcast support
