Credit Card Transaction Connect Disappeared
I know there is a fair amount of discussion around transaction downloads not working, whether credit card or other institutions so I'll share my experience this morning.
Opened Quicken this morning and my Citi VISA Card connection (Express Web Connect+) was no longer there and I did NOT change/deactivate, etc… I was able to add the account again and new transactions downloaded and everything appears A-OK. It did take an unusually long time for the account to complete its process (5 minutes or so).
I'm relatively new to credit card downloads so don't know if this is common or not. Just figured I'd mention it.

Hello @Dom1,
I'm glad to hear you were able to re-add the account without issue. That said, it is unusual for an account to vanish from your Quicken file like that. If you use multiple Quicken files, is it possible you opened a file it hadn't been added to yet? Did you possibly restore a backup from before that account had been added? Did the account go missing after a program update or an unexpected program or computer shutdown? Do you keep your Quicken file directly on your local hard drive? Is the file synced with any cloud backup services, such as OneDrive, iCloud, or Dropbox?
I look forward to your response!

While I must admit over the last 2-3 weeks I've recovered backups, tried export/import (once) and deactivated/reactivated accounts more than I can count. With that said, the Quicken file where my Citi card connection (not the account itself) disappeared was my latest working copy and Citi card and my Capital One cards were both functioning prior.
Q - If you use multiple Quicken files, is it possible you opened a file it hadn't been added to yet? No
Q - Did you possibly restore a backup from before that account had been added? I really don’t believe so. The two credit cards I mention were the least problematic that I’ve had. I abandoned my Discover connection for numerous reasons, one being it continued to download transactions already downloaded and just wasn’t worth the aggravation.
Q - Did the account go missing after a program update or an unexpected program or computer shutdown? I don’t believe so but not completely sure of this one.
Q - Do you keep your Quicken file directly on your local hard drive? Yes, with backups stored locally and online backup service.
Q - Is the file synced with any cloud backup services, such as OneDrive, iCloud, or Dropbox? Yes, but none of these. Purely one way street backup to cloud and if I download a backup file it goes to an area not associated with Quicken so I actively have to go find this particular version.
So to summarize my two credit cards are working. My WSFS bank checking account is NOT working and I’m awaiting CC-800 resolve for this. The WSFS account has worked for many years without issue until the last couple of weeks.
Thanks for the follow-up.
