Fidelity Retirement Accounts Double Balance Problem
I am sick and tired of this problem that has persisted for at least 3 years to my knowledge. All of you who are posting, this is not a new problem but a persistent one that Quicken refuses to fix, even though Fidelity is now affiliated with them. They should be embarrassed it has gone on so long. Do not believe the baloney they are telling you. To minimize the appearance of the problem, they are just giving pat nonsensical advice to cover up. Then they "close" the discussion so it is not obvious that they have a years' long problem. For some (not really a fix but a workaround) you can set the cash balance to zero. For others, you just have to delete and re-set up the account every month. It is rising to the level of consumer fraud already.

Originally, I thought this problem was with what Fidelity was sending to Quicken, but later I learned that Quicken Mac doesn't have the same problem, so that does point at it being a Quicken Windows bug.

@Chris_QPW Then why am I not experiencing this bug. I've got multiple accounts that download from Fidelity Investments … and they're pristine.
And the OP is sadly mistaken by the "Fidelity is now affiliated with them" comment. Fidelity's splash screen appears because of advertising … not affiliation. They're completely separate companies. Q is owned by "Quicken, Inc." and Fidelity is primarily owned by the Johnson family and other insider stockholders.

The "double account" problem is only for Simple investing mode, and only for 401K/403b accounts.
Do you have any accounts that fit that?

No 401k403b accounts anywhere, and no Simple. Thanks for the explanation.
