Saved reports and date ranges

This isn't really a question so much as just giving you a heads up that something with saved reports has some room for improvement. I received an update to QWin R58.9 this morning and proceeded to run some reports. When I pull up a saved report, all is well at first. If I make a change to the report and re-save it, something unexpected happens. If I close the report and then click on it in the saved reports list, the date range has been reset back to 01/01/0001 on both "From" and "To". Predictably, running the report shows no data until I correct the date range. Re-saving it again does not fix it.

We're other users …. not Q Support. Have you reported this to Q Support also? If not, you can use the link at the top of this page.

I've seen Quicken representatives in these forums so I assumed this would get their attention but I'll follow-up with support now. Thank you!

Update: It appears to be a problem when the report is saved after pulling it up in the Reports & Graphs Center as opposed to the Reports menu > My Saved Reports & Graphs.

    Additional update:
I've done some more experimenting and believe I have a reliable way to reproduce the problem I've encountered:
    1. Open the Reports & Graphs Center.
    2. On the list of available reports, select the Tax Summary report.
    3. Before showing the report, change the date criteria to "Yearly" and "Current Year".
    4. Show the report.
    5. Click the "Save Report" icon and save the report.
    6. Go back to the Reports & Graphs Center Select the recently saved Tax Summary report on the saved reports list.
If I'm right, the date range should say "Custom Date" and from "1/1/0001" to "1/1/0001" rather than "Yearly" and "Current Year". Is that not a problem?
I'm working with support but have not yet heard back on whether they have successfully reproduced the problem.

    Thanks for the additional information.

Did you contact Support directly, or did you just use the Help > Report a problem link in Quicken? You will not get any response unless you contact them directly via phone or chat.

So far, I've chatted with 3 different support reps.

This appears to be a issue with the "new" Reports and Graphs Center.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Early Access and un-check the Reports and Graphs box. Then restart Quicken and try your steps again and I think you will see that the date ranges save correctly.

You're right. I did as you suggested and now the reports are being saved with the correct date criteria. Thank you! I'll provide this information to support when they get back to me.
