American Express Bank transaction download on One Step Update
using the Quicken link for "American Express - Banking", but this connection requires an extra step (in both One Step or individual account updates) where AMEX sends a one-time access code that must be entered for the data to download. This was not an issue 1.5 months ago and it's very annoying. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @BoltsFan4,
We have received confirmation from American Express that the MFA prompt for each online account update is working as designed as this is the intended process they have put in place.
We apologize for any inconvenience! Thank you.

There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off 2FA prompting in your AmEx Banking accounts, so I've started to use this workaround:
My Savings Account only receives one transaction, the Interest deposit, per month, usually on the 28th.
So, during the month I don't download from AmEx Banking, to avoid the daily 2FA prompt.
To do this, I go into One Step Update settings and deselect AmEx Banking, click Apply and then Update Now.
On or after the 28th I go back into OSU Settings and enable AmEx Banking for a day or two. After I have received the interest transaction in the download, I deselect AmEx Banking again … to avoid the needless 2FA prompt and preserve my sanity, what's left of it …🙂1 -
Thank you very much for the information…. I too am starting to lose it…may look at other institutions. 😟
