Capturing the list from Update Summary > "see a report"
Using Quicken Classic Premier Windows, Version R58.9. Build 27.1.58.9 on Dell 7400 laptop.
There is a popup that appears from the "see a report" link in the Update Summary window. This was recently fixed to show a useful list. But if the list is long only a small portion of it is visible at one time. Is there a way to capture the full list to a file or even a separate window that can be minimized so that other Quicken windows can be used without first dismissing it?

That "See a Report" appears next to "quotes and investing headlines updated" and only appears when less that all of your displayed securities have been updated. That option no longer appears for me since I cleaned up my securities list to Hide securities that I no longer own or that don't have quotes (e.g., a retirement security with a constant $1 value from which the FI doesn't provide downloads).
SO, what are the numbers to the left of that quote? And, if you similarly clean up your security list, the option will disappear and your problem will resolve itself.

Well, the point of my question/ request is to make it easier for one to get to the point where one has a clean list of securities being updated. So already being in that state isn't really a useful answer.

Hiding securities will not prevent Quicken from attempting to download quotes for them. That is a good practice for securities you no longer own and don't intend to buy in the future, but to stop quote download attempts you need to remove them from the Watch List and/or un-check the Download Quotes box.
Also the pop-up report of failed quote updates conveniently has Download Quotes check boxes, so if your goal is to stop Quicken from attempting to download quotes for "bad" securities, you can do it right there.
Thirdly, the pop-up report does not include securities with blank ticker symbols. You should always correct the tickers or un-check the Download Quotes box for these securities. If you have Premiere and up and you have selected the "Real time Quotes" option and you leave the Download Quotes box checked, you will get bogus quote data for these securities. Thanks. I think I understand how suppress update attempts. The reason I wanted to have the list somewhere other than the popup window is that while it is up one can't do anything else to investigate whether the security really should be suppressed vs the failure being a perhaps temporary outage. It seems that may not be possible. Of course one can dismiss the popup then go back to it after investigating. Just seems somewhat cumbersome.
