Credit cards (not available for downloading from my Credit Union)

When I tried to activate downloads for my credit cards within Quicken, they aren't found at my Credit Union. They do show online within my bank account and the bank has no answers as to why. Even if I tried to do an "add account", they don't show up to add from my credit union.

It might not be under the credit union's name. A lot of time credit unions (like stores) simply get their name on a credit card that is issued by the actual financial institution that is maintaining it. If it isn't obvious of what financial institution is then I suggest you contact the credit union to see what financial institution name you should use.

What @Chris_QPW describes is called "co-branding". But the name of the FI that issued the card should be somewhere on the back of the card.

But note, that it's also possible that the CU has decided to no allow downloads from cards.

If you'd name the CU, we can look into that.

I have a similar issue with one credit card from my credit union. It wasn't that way always. The credit union stopped reporting their VISA credit card transactions somewhere between end of '22 and beginning of '23. I contacted the credit union twice speaking to two individuals. Both said either from their credit card issuer or change in policy they were no longer going to pass transactions on the card through to Quicken users. Since all of '23 and this year all statements from their card had to be entered manually.

I, too, would like to hear from other credit union credit card holders if they are having the same problem.
