Capital One Download
I have 6 capital one accounts. 4 are through Capital One 360 (Personal and business checking and savings). 2 are through Captial One Card Services (2 credit cards). I cannot get Quicken to decipher between the two and download the transactions correctly. Has anyone solved this problem and if so, how? Thank you!!

Hello @rrosierjr,
To assist with this issue, please provide more information. What is happening when you try to download from Capital One? For instance, are transactions downloading into wrong accounts, do you have duplicate accounts, are transactions failing to download, etc.? Are you seeing any error messages when you try to download? Are you the primary account holder on all 6 accounts?
I look forward to your reply!

Transactions are failing to download and so the balances and the total transactions are off. Also, it will say that the source of the download is either all 360 bank or credit services so it doesn't know how to differentiate that 4 are bank and 2 are credit services. there are no error messages. I am the primary account holder of all 6. There are no duplicate accounts.
thanks, Rich

Thank you for your reply,
To clarify, when you run One Step Update, the Summary screen shows 6 accounts all under the same connection, rather than 4 under Capital One 360 and 2 under Capital One Card Services?
If that is what is happening, and you want your accounts split between the two connections, first backup your Quicken file. Then, deactivate the accounts that are under the wrong connection method (for instance, if everything is under Capital One 360, deactivate the 2 credit card accounts that you want connected via Capital One Card Services). Once the accounts you need to change to the other connection method are deactivated, go to Tools>Add Account and follow the prompts. Note: When you go through the authorization process on Capital One's website, please make sure all accounts that you want connected in Quicken are selected.
Once you are back to the Add/Link screen in Quicken, it will likely see all 6 of your accounts. For the accounts you want connected under that specific connection, please make sure it is linking to the correct nickname in Quicken. For the accounts that are already connected, please make sure you select Don't add to Quicken, if it doesn't already show that. Selecting "Don't add to Quicken" will ensure those accounts remain on their current connection rather than changed to the new connection.
Once that is done, you should be able to run One Step Update and see both connections listed both in the Settings screen and the Summary screen.
Once you have everything connected the way you want it, if the issue with transactions not downloading persists, please start troubleshooting by following the steps in this article on missing transactions/transactions not downloading.
Please let me know how it goes!

I had the same issue. I have 6 accounts with capital one. Original they were all under Capital One for download. I deactivated and reactivated because I had problems downloading any transactions for all accounts. Now, I have 4 accounts under Capital One and 2 accounts under Capital One card services. I also have to create new account names (I just renames them with a #2 therafter) for the 2 accounts under Capital One card services. I do not have a CC with Capital One, so not sure why the download is going through Capital One card services. Also, on the Account list, they all have been switched to "Express Web Connect+"

Hello @phdabney,
Based on your description, it sounds like a different connection option was selected when you were reconnecting your accounts. Do you have more than one UserID with Capital One? You said the accounts switched to Express Web Connect+; do you recall what connection they were using before that? Also, why did you have to add a #2 after those two accounts? Was Quicken seeing the original account names as already connected in your Quicken?
I look forward to your reply!
