Time to fix Pennymac

Hello! It's been half a year or so since the Pennymac issue was discovered and in that time there have only been repeats of the "it's being fixed but no ETA." At the very least, we are owed an ETA at this point. I know you'll say they don't have one, [Removed - Speculation]. So can you please ask your boss, or their boss, to actually get a real answer and share it with us? If the answer is no, please have your boss post that fact, do not just post yourself without an answer. Thank you.

    Hello @douggold,

Any and all details regarding known issues with PennyMac can be found in the Alerts posted here and here. We do not have any further details or information available beyond what has already been posted. Additionally, Quicken's product development teams do not provide an estimate of when fixes/solutions are completed and released.

We apologize for the inconvenience! Thank you.

I talked to Pennymac, the customer service rep said that its because of them implementing 2FA that doesnt work with Quicken. I asked when they thought it would be resolved and they said it doesnt look like anytime in the near future.

I emailed PennyMac and asked them what the issue is on their end. Their reply is as follows:

Unfortunately, the Quicken aggregator does not allow for our 2-Factor authentication process within our security features, which is designed to protect you as our customer. Because your security is important to us, this is not something we foresee changing in the future.

So PennyMac is saying they will not change anything on their end. It seems like this is something Quicken needs to change on their end or nothing will happen. My impression is that this is a non-priority for Quicken, based on how very long it's been since they first needed to fix it.

What I find objectionable is that Quicken is still offering PennyMac as an account to connect to, then just lets it show an error. Be honest, Quicken, and stop offering it. You know it doesn't work, it's your lack of a fix that keeps it from working, stop telling people it's an option.
