How to / possible create sub group in Banking group?
Is it possible to create a subgroup in the Banking group?
Assume you open a number of CDs with your bank, maturing at different dates.
You'll then have your Bank Checking, Bank Savings, the light grey separation line, CD1, CD2, CD3 et cetera. Would it be possible to create a new group "CDs" displaying the total value of the underlying CD values, which can be expanded and collapsed with the individual CDs (and balances) in that group?
It would keep the full account list shorter and visibly a bit 'cleaner'?

It isn't currently possible to have customized groups in the Account bar. At one time I think there was a suggestion for that, but I don't think it got enough votes for them to consider it for implementation and is now archived.

Why have the CDs as separate accts in Q at all? Rather than recording them in an Investment type acct, an off-line one if needed.

Because they *are* separate accounts with each their own acct number (and interest payments).
I'm thinking specifically a CD ladder of say 5 accounts, one maturing each year, but together "one group".
So my bank's account list in quicken would show the checking, savings, and (expandable group) CDs, nice and clean.
