Quicken Deluxe Canadian version to US version

I originally bought the Canadian version from the shelf. No, I did not see it say Canadian. My question is, if I buy the US version, can I use the backup, from the CAN version, to use on the newly bought US version?

I would prefer my account be in US dollars instead of CAN dollars, by default.

Help.

And yes, I live in the US and the Canadian version was on the shelf here.

    Hello @Whyte1971,

If you contact Quicken Support, they can help you switch out your Canadian subscription for the U.S. subscription. Once the subscriptions have been switched, you can open the same data file you were already using. However, you may need to sign out and sign back in using the steps provided below.

    1. Navigate to Edit
    2. Preferences...
    3. Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
    4. Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID)
    5. Follow the prompts to Sign Out
    6. Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password

    Hope this helps!

Actually I don't think I have a subscription at this point. I may just buy the US version and use my backup data to restore the US version.

How do they change my version if I don't connect it to the net in any way?
