Alerts for Bond Maturities Disappear and Alerts to file taxes for Extension Returns Keep Appearing
I'm on Windows 11, Quicken 27.1.59.6. This issue has been going on after several Quicken upgrades.
I like to see my bond maturities appear in the Alert section of my desktop. They used to do so regularly, now the disappear frequently even though I have the appropriate box checked. When they disappear, I get the notification about filing a tax return if I have requested an extension even though I have deleted that notification numerous times.
I haven't seen this particular issue mentioned elsewhere on the forum, but it is very frustrating. Even when the bonds don't appear in the alerts section, when I go to "Set Up Alerts" it shows that it is checked. When I click on it again and say "OK", the bonds show up again.
I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Hello @bizbuyer,
To start with, I suggest that you please try validating and/or super validating your data file. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.
Validate:
- File
- Validate and Repair File...
- Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
- Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
- Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.
If the issue persists, proceed to Super Validate. If the issue is resolved after performing validation, then please disregard the instructions to Super Validate.
Super Validate:
- File
- Hold CTRL + Shift and click Validate and Repair File...
- Super Validate File
- Click OK
- Close the Data Log
- Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
- Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.
Let me know how it goes!

Thanks, Jasmine!
This issue is occurring on two different data files, so I'm guessing it must a Quicken program issue. Regardless, I have validated and super-validated both data files, gone through my normal process of deleting the tax alert and re-clicking on the Investing→Maturity Date alerts and all is good for now. It usually takes a day or two before the problem reappears.
Since this problem appears unique to me, if the problem reappears I'll uninstall Quicken and do a new install.
I appreciate your help!
