One Step Update reports really strange results after a Holiday.

Monday Oct. 14 was a holiday. An OSU was done this morning (Tuesday) and should have produced no transaction to download as I did an OSU last Saturday without issue. Financial Institutions were closed Sunday and Monday and won't post transactions made Saturday thu Tuesday until early Wednesday morning (usually around 3am). Here is what is strange…. :

Happened to me this morning for the first time….. using Q-Premier for Windows with latest update (R59.10). OSU's worked as usual after R59.10 update until today (Tuesday).

ISSUE:

I did an OSU this morning (Tuesday) and it ran as usual and brought up the screen that 17 transactions were downloaded. The issue is it should have said ( 0 transactions to download ). Issue is It also did not bring up the next screen which always lets me see the transactions list and accept the downloaded transaction if I choose to. I don't let Q automatically post transactions. The issue is my Financial Institution had not posted any transaction that needed to be reported to Quicken over the weekend and the Monday holiday. The Financial Institution will not post my pending transactions for Saturday thru Tuesday until early Wednesday morning (tomorrow morning). There should be only 8 transactions to be downloaded to Quicken (not the 17) and these 8 transactions are shown as pending today (Tuesday) on my FI's web site. Noted that I don't use the pending transaction feature of Quicken either and pending transactions is turned off in Quicken also….

Will see what the OSU does tomarrow as there should be many transactions posted early Wednesday morning (around 3am).

Windows 11 (2 separate computers)..... Quicken Premier.. HAVE USED QUICKEN CONTINUOUSLY SINCE 1985.

Just adding to the Original Post:

I have 2 computers accessing the same institutions but the Quicken data files have different names. Done for redundancy in case one computer crashes. I usually run my One Step Updates the same day on both computers. Today (Tuesday) when I saw what is discussed in the Original Post I only ran the OSU on 1 computer. This way when I run an OSU tomorrow on both computers I can see how the mystery non-existant 17 transactions effect each computers' Quicken data.

OSU Wednsday morning on the 2 computers:

Both computers showed that 8 transactions were downloaded and the second screen showed them so I chose for them to be posted and they were posted to Quicken. All normal again today so the mysterious ficticious 17 transactions of yesterday that didn't download will remain a mystery.

Windows 11 (2 separate computers)..... Quicken Premier.. HAVE USED QUICKEN CONTINUOUSLY SINCE 1985.

    Hello @retird,

Thank you for keeping us updated! Please let us know if the issue reappears with phantom transactions.

    Thanks!
