Average spend not working in Budget
Quicken for windows user. In my budget category for property taxes there is an odd glitch. I make 2 property tax payments each year. One payment is in April, and the second in September. They are not the same amount—the September payment is about double the April payment. Locally, we refer to the two payments as the "municipal tax" (Spring) and "school tax" (Fall).
When I am setting up the budget amount, I would assume quicken would add the two amounts, and divide by 12. It does not do this. I'm not sure quite what it is doing, but it comes up with a budget amount that is almost double what it should be.
I can override it, and do my own calculation—but it's odd that it does this.

Hello @h stansfield,
To help troubleshoot this, please provide more information. What category do you use for your property tax in Quicken. Are both property tax payments under the same category in your Quicken?
When I test in my Quicken, what I see is that Quicken takes the fall payment, divides it by 12, and makes that the default average monthly amount. Is that what you're seeing also?
I look forward to your reply!
