What's up with Synchrony Retail Mastercard and Credit Union downloads?
I have used Qicken for decades. I recently purchased Quicken Classic, using a Windows computer. I am able to download transactions from a Chase-Amazon Visa card. I am NOT able to download Checking/Savings transactions from Publix Employees Federal Credit Union or my Sam's Club Synchrony Mastercard.
PEFCU informed me that they NO LONGER support Quicken, discontinuing the arrangement in April, 2024.
Synchrony Mastercard tells me that they DO support Quicken and that I should contact Quicken Support. Quicken's position is that Synchrony DOES NOT support Quicken. This was a decision made by Quicken, not a system glitch. "Yeah, everyone's complaining about it." Furthermore, there is nothing that I can do about it.
This information would have been useful prior to making my purchase. What is your proposed remedy, Quicken?

Hello @JayStenger,
To assist with this issue, please provide more information. You specifically mentioned a Sam's Club Synchrony Mastercard. Is that the Synchrony account you're having trouble connecting? If so, have you tried using the connection option specifically for Sam's Club?
If PEFCU decided to no longer support Quicken, then unfortunately, we aren't able to change that. You would still be able to create a manual accounts and update them manually. For more information on adding and updating accounts manually, please see this article:
I hope this helps!

Synchrony Bank (at least for Sam's Club's and Lowe's credit cards) is incorrectly downloading a QBO File format and not the correct Quicken OFX data file format required.

Hello @dxc650,
To clarify, is this happening when you're trying to download the file directly from the financial institution website to import into your Quicken file? If this is happening on the financial institution's website, then I recommend contacting the financial institution about this issue. When you contact them, you may need to ask for a supervisor or a higher level of tech support in order to get someone knowledgable about 3rd party integrations.
I look forward to your reply!

I found that by changing the file extension from "OBO" to "QFX" solves the problem. After changing the extension just double click the file and it should import directly into quicken.
