Synchrony Home Card

I am using Quicken Premier R59.18 Build 27.1.59.18 on Windows 10.

I have had problems trying to find the correct financial option to choose to add my Synchrony Home card to Quicken as there is no choice from the list that will allow me to log in without errors.

After reviewing a Synchrony Home Credit Card discussion about connecting to Synchrony to Add the Synchrony Home Card, I spent over an hour with Synchrony on the phone and got no answers. However, I persisted and talked to Technical Support and uncovered a few things.

One, as a user of Synchrony CareCredit, it functions with many providers and therefore has their own Quicken connection which does point to "https://consumercenter.mysynchrony.com/consumercenter/login". I feel and suggested that Synchrony set up Synchrony Home like Carecredit because they have multiple providers authorizing credit through Synchrony just like Carecredit.

Two, the tech support person had me log into both Carecredit and Brand Smart USA via "manage credit", they both brought me to the "https://consumercenter.mysynchrony.com/consumercenter/login" webpage where I can sign in with the appropriate username and password (I have a Carecredit card with one username and a Brand Smart card with a different username.)

That said, you should be able to for now, add the account using either Carecredit or Brand Smart USA as they both point to mysynchrony.com.

I hope that helps people connect via Quicken to credit accounts that use "https://consumercenter.mysynchrony.com/consumercenter/login" to log into with.

    Based on your description, it sounds like Synchrony Home Card can't connect through the Synchrony Bank Credit Cards connection because that connection option goes to the synchronybank.com login rather than the consumercenter.mysynchrony.com login.

    It's good to know that the Carecredit and Brand Smart USA connection options should work to allow people to connect their Synchrony Home Cards in Quicken!

    I am running Q Version R59.35, Build 27.1.59.35 on Windows 10 - ya, I know I need to upgrade to W11, but that requires a whole new laptop ;-( . I just opened CC account for Synchrony Home and got the error CC-503 when trying to add the account using the "Synchrony Bank Cards" option, after all, that seems most logical, right? Found this posting, tried it, and low-and-behold it worked!! Also solved a problem I had connecting a Synchrony CC for Rooms-to-Go. Glad I was able to move beyond this initial problem but really continue to have little confidence in Quicken, and they want me to put all my personal information in some new "hub" product !! No thank you

    Thank you @rsmoore for posting this information! I tried every Quicken option for Synchrony and would never have known to try CareCredit. I don't know if it's a Synchrony or a Quicken fix, but it seems like it's common enough that one of them ought to make a more obvious Synchrony xxx option available on Quicken, rather than putting us through this nonsense of trying to figure it out. I appreciate you doing the work to figure it out and sharing the solution!
