A clear answer on to change log in password for Quickens

After years, I need to change my password to log in when using Quickens. I tried to find the answer in Help, nope.

Or are you prompted to enter a PW for that data file? If so, enter your PW to open the data file.

You will need to open the data file before you can do File > Set password for this data file…

Are you referring here to Quicken the program or the Quicken account at quicken.com?

If the former then within the program click File and then Set password for this data file. If the latter, then sign in using you current password and click on Sign in & Security and under Password click Change.

You could be referring to two different passwords.

1. The username/password that you used to access this forum.
2. The password that you have assigned to your Quicken data file.

#1 is changed at Quicken.com and after logging in, select Sign In & Security

#2 is changed at File→Set Password for this data file while in Quicken.

Sorry for delay. Was on a trip. I used your information and on mind version Quickens Delux 2020, nothing comes up that allows me to change my password as in your example. Any other help?
