Quicken will NOT STOP RENAMING downloaded transactions
OK, I have used quicken for over 20 years and this is just beyond annoying. I have turned off ALL transaction renaming options and Quicken just keeps on renaming things to ridiculous names like "2" or "E" or "5".
And I have no renaming rules - all cleared.
Latest example - it renamed a PetSmart transaction to "2".
How do I get it to STOP!!!!!

This is Quicken Classic R59.35
Since I installed the most recent update, I am finding random Payee names being truncated to one letter. This is happening on my primary bank account and on credit card accounts.
I use One Step update to download transactions.
Is there a fix?[Merged Post]

Having the same problem since I updated Quicken Deluxe to 59.35. Since the transaction download is one the main reasons stick with the annual fees, this needs to be resolved quickly.

Hello All,
Our service provider told us the issue should now be resolved. This won't fix anything that previously downloaded incorrectly, but future downloads should no longer have this issue.
To correct anything that's already downloaded, you can right click on the transaction and select the option to Revert to (payee name).
Thank you!

Yes, Quicken is now downloading correct - Thank You. However, as a result of having to change all of the previous entries the renaming rules are hosed. I am spending way too much time correcting the rules that somehow got changed incorrectly as a result of the previous problem.

Ok, thanks for the update. I no longer see things renamed to single numbers or letters. But I do see things still being renamed against my wishes even though I have renaming turned off. HOW DO I GET IT TO STOP??????

Thank you for your reply @marcdemaio,
To assist, please provide more information what is happening. What payees are being renamed? Is this happening in just one account, or multiple accounts? Could you please navigate to Edit>Preferences>Downloaded Transactions and provide a screenshot of your settings there? If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
Thank you!
