Pending Transactions Downloaded Even Though Feature is Off

With the last update to Q59.35, Quicken Classic is downloading pending transactions from my bank checking account. (Coastal Federal CU).

I did not enable pending transactions. I have confirmed it is off.

This is especially frustrating with transactions that include a tip. The pending transactions (without tip) are downloaded. There's no indication in Quicken that this is a pending transaction.

When the transaction clears, a second transaction (with tip) is downloaded.

To keep things straight, I have open my checking account online and compare it to the Quicken downloaded transactions. I then delete the downloaded pending transactions.

This is very annoying as I dine out frequently.

    Hello @CL,

To start with, I suggest that you please update to the latest Quicken Classic for Windows release— R60.14. You can do so by navigating to Help > Check for Updates.

If you are not given the option to update from within the program, then you can also download and install it manually through the Manual Patch found in this support article.

Let us know if the issue still persists after updating.

    Thank you!

I updated to R60.14 this morning. It did not fix the problem.

I ate out for lunch. The transaction (before tip) is pending at my bank account. It downloads into Quicken even though I have disabled the pending transaction feature.

I am now using R60.15. The issue is still occurring.

    Thank you for following up.

Next, I suggest you try signing out of your data file completely and then signing back in to refresh the registration token for your Online Connected Services. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.

    1. Navigate to Edit
    2. Preferences...
    3. Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
    4. Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID)
    5. Follow the prompts to Sign Out
    6. Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password

Let us know how it goes!

I also bank with Coastal CU and I am having the same issue with pending transactions. It is very annoying and I am spending a lot of time making sure my accounts are downloading accurately.

Is there a fix or solution

    Hello @ajurgens,

To assist with this issue, please provide more information. Did you go to Edit>Preferences>Pending transactions and ensure it is set to Off?

Are the pending transactions you're seeing downloading into your register grey with the grey hourglass? If possible, please provide a screenshot of some of the pending transactions inappropriately downloading into your account (please redact any personal information). If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

I look forward to your reply!

    Quicken Kristina
