How to use Quicken with Brazilian banks?
I live in USA and use Quicken for over 20 years.
Now I am moving to Brazil and would like to add a few Brazilian accounts, like bank and credit card, while keeping my USA accounts.
I see Banco Santander from USA and Puerto Rico, but not www.santander.com.br.
Any suggestions?
Create them as cash accounts and enter transactions manually?
I can do that if I need, but I would rather use it automatically if it is available.😎
Thanks

Sorry but Quicken USA does not support financial institutions outside of the USA. So, you can set them up as manual offline accounts and enter the transactions manually. You can select whichever offline accounts you want for this. If you will have a checking and savings account there then you can set up offline checking and savings accounts.
I should also mention that some people in other countries have difficulty connecting with their US financial institutions for downloading. Some have been able to overcome that issue by using a VPN that targets a VPN service server located in the USA. That is what I used to do when I used to travel to Asia before I retired and it worked quite well for me.

If you can get QIF or CSV file downloads of the transactions, you could use ImportQIF to convert them into usable QIF files for import into Quicken.
NOTE: Quicken support of QIF import is limited as it does not do duplicate prevention or renaming but ImportQIF does a good job of doing both of those for transactions processed by it for import. It also imports them directly into the account without any review by the user.
ImportQIF (by QuicknPerlWiz) is free and well supported by its creator.

I purposely did not mention the ImportQIF tool because I seem to remember some folks in Europe, SE Asia and South America (can't remember if it was Brazil or Argentina) telling me that it did not work well with CSV files they could download there and that QIF files were not available to them.
In hindsight I still should have mentioned it because those responses I received were from a long time ago and I might not be correctly remembering what they told me. Since ImportQIF is free to download and use (no adware included) it would certainly be worth trying.
