Is there a way of adding the "Notes" column to an "Itemized Category" report (when exporting to a spreadsheet)?

Apparently not, but if you use the similar Banking > Banking Transactions report subtotaled by Category, you can include the Notes column.

Thank you very much for your help! The downside is that the notes appear in the same column as the totals. But I still appreciate your insight.

The downside is that the notes appear in the same column as the totals.

I am not seeing this issue. For me the Notes column is clearly a distinct and visible column in the report that is to the left of the Clr and Amounts columns. If you can see the Notes column header, double click on it to expand it. Or, click, grab and slide on the columns divider in the column header.

… or is this after exporting to Excel?

If that is the issue, how are you doing the export? If I copy the report to the clipboard and past into Excel, everything looks OK.

I really appreciate your help, Jim. Unfortunately, when I copy to clipboard, it still does the same thing: It puts the subtotals/totals in the same column as the notes. Could it be that I am not using the most up-to-date version of quicken? I do have a subscription, but I notice that the program looks and functions a bit differently when I use it on a different computer (something I noticed when my current computer was in for repairs). Here is the information about the quicken as it appears on my current computer: R40.28, Build: 27.1.40.28

@batyalevy - The current QWin version is R60.15. I could find no record of QWin on Quicken.com of R40.28. The only R40.XX versions I found are R40.13 and R40.21, both of which were released in April 2022. Maybe "R40.28" is a typo? Regardless, if you do have installed a R40.XX version it is over 2 years old and there have been a lot of improvements, fixes and additions to QWin since then, including some that are specific to reports. So it could be possible that is a reason why you are seeing this issue and we are not.

If you are running Quicken for Windows USA and if your subscription is current, you might want to update to the current version by downloading and installing the Manual Patch Update file from https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product/ . Or, perhaps a better solution might be to uninstall your version and then download and install a fresh copy from your online Quicken.com account or from https://www.quicken.com/support/how-do-i-download-quicken-quickencom-after-i-buy-it/. .

Getting back to your current installation: You are trying to copy and paste the report?

Have you tried to use the Report's Export-to-Excel or the Print:Export to tab delimited (Excel compatible) file functions? Following is a picture of the upper right corner of the report showing where these are. In addition, you might want to double check to make sure the "Notes" box is checked in the report Customization popup because that is not checked by default.
