In my brokerage accounts, each quarter I manually enter a "Withdrawal" transaction for my investment management fees. Something changed in the last couple years or so, and ever since then Quicken doesn't hold onto the amount or memo fields, always reverting to the most recent (previous) transaction information for that payee when I Enter/New or Enter/Done. This means I have to enter the transaction twice--it retains the data the second time.
I have asked Quicken support why this happens, and whether I can change something in my settings to avoid this duplicate work. I was told that it's a known issue, and that a fix is coming up soon in an update. I'm posting here to hold Quicken accountable, as this has been a problem for quite a while. And if anyone knows a workaround, I'd appreciate it.
BTW, I use Quicken Classic Premier for Windows. Thanks!
