Dashboards Need Work
I just "moved" into a new computer and as part of the process I decided to do a clean install including reviewing all of the settings in Quicken (or , at least I thought I would).
I revisited a problem with the Dashboard namely:
— Some of the dashboards / tiles do not include business accounts, the investment ones in particular. I know Quicken does not comment on timing but is the inclusion of business accounts in all dashboards on the road map?
— The picker lists do not work properly. For example, one investment dashboard includes and let a corporate investment account even though the picker list does not include any corporate investment accounts.
The above results in limited accuracy, reliability and use of the dashboard tiles.
Would very much like to get this fixed. Please share what you can on this.
Thank you.

Hello @JoelC,
To clarify, are you talking about the Dashboard on the Home Tab, or on the Business tab? If you're referring to the Business tab, there is a known issue with the Profit/Loss tile not displaying business investment accounts (CTP-9185).
When you say the picker lists aren't working properly, are you referring to customizing and selecting the accounts you want it to display, and still having a business account you did not select impacting the results? If that is what you're referring to, I just tested in my Quicken and noticed the same behavior in the Portfolio Value tile on the Home dashboard and the Total Value tile on the Investment dashboard. I forwarded this issue to the proper channels for further investigation and resolution. If you would like to contribute to the investigation, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached. While you will not receive a response through this submission, these reports will help our teams in further investigating the issue. The more problem reports we receive, the better.
We apologize for any inconvenience!
Thank you.

Hi @Quicken Kristina and Merry Christmas!
I am talking about the Dashboard (and the Custom Views created therein) on the Home Tab.
I am referring to customizing and selecting the accounts to be displayed. For example, I have one tile that is showing a business investment account when business investment accounts are not included In the picker list!
I hope this and other "math issues" can get solve more expeditiously in the future than have been in the past as financial reporting needs to be right, other wise what is the point.
Thank you.

Thank you for your reply,
I observed that same behavior in the investment tiles on the Home tab dashboard. Using custom views may be a partial work-around. The portfolio value tile still has the same problem, but it's color-coded, making it easier to tell how much is from the business account(s).
The Investment and Retirement Accounts and the Business Investment and Retirement Accounts tiles seem to reflect correct information.
For more information on creating custom views, please review the article below:
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I hope that this helps!

@Quicken Kristina good afternoon and appreciate the response.
I have made extensive us of the Custom Views and sadly report that the picker list problem is even worst in Custom View depending on the Tile selected.
From a curiosity perspective (and not to be difficult) can you please share the quality control and regression testing methodology as given the number of errors / bugs found perhaps we can make suggestions on tweaking it?
Thank you.

Thank you for your reply,
I'll be happy to forward your feedback to our teams.
In the custom views, the Business Investment and Retirement Accounts tile, the Investment and Retirement Accounts tile, and the Rental Property Investments and Retirement accounts tile appear do not appear to be affected by the picker issue. The tiles that show graphs seem to have the picker issue, but clicking on the graph brings up a report that you can customize. It's not ideal, but it is a work around.
If you never want to see the business accounts affecting any of the tiles, you can mark the accounts as separate accounts by going to Tools>Account List, clicking the Edit button next to the account, then going to the Display Options tab and selecting "Keep this account separate - account will be excluded from Quicken reports and features" option.
I forwarded this issue with the customer views to the proper channels to be further investigated. In the meantime, please navigate to Help > Report a problem and submit a problem report with log files attached in order to contribute to the investigation.
While you will not receive a response through this submission, these reports will help our teams in further investigating the issue. The more problem reports we receive, the better.
We apologize for any inconvenience!
Thank you.

@Quicken Kristina I may be in the minority but I generally want to see both all or a subset of my business and personal accounts together to see i) overall return ii) return by invetsment manager and iii) etc.
It is my view that excluding business accounts, credit card accounts and others i) greatly limits flexibility and ii) limits usefullness.
Just my $0.02.
