Unable to download Citi Bank credit card - connection error

I have been downloading Citi Bank credit card spending with no issues. When I went to do another download a couple days ago the download capabilities disappeared and I was asked to connect to Citi Bank and authorize downloading. I tried to do the connection and download but it failed.

I have seen past post where this has been and issue.

Any thoughts

Temporarily disable all of your default browser's extensions. Also if your browser's Privacy setting is set to Strict, temporarily change it to Standard. After the reauthorization successfully completes, you can enable your extension and revert you Privacy setting.

I started doing this about 8 months ago and it has 100% resolved this kind of reauthorization issue for me. Many others have reported getting similar results. Hopefully, you will get the same good result.

Did you in fact go to the Citi Bank site and re-authorize downloading? You don't really say.

Since Citi is now using EWC+ as the downloading method you do need to periodically re-authorize the downloading with Citi.

If you have in fact done the re-authorization then probably the next thing to try is to disconnect the Quicken Account from downloading, start the Add Account process, specify the correct "Citi Bank" you want to connect with, and complete the Add Account process. Quicken should find the account at Citi Bank, at which point you LINK, (NOT "Add"), that Citi Bank account to your existing Quicken Citi Bank Account.

Thanks for the reply Tom. To clarify I have gone to the Citi site and the account is authorized for download. When I go to the account in quicken and try to get the download to work again Quicken takes me to my Citi sign on. I enter my sign on the Citi screen then the screen turns blank and nothing happens. In quicken after a period of time I get a message Citi Bank link failed try again later.

I tried what you mentioned to add an account and I get the same issue where Citi screen after sign on goes blank and I get the same error message.
