Credit card txns sporadically missing for Chase and Capital One

Hi, I'm on Windows 11 Home version 23H2.

the Chase credit card had 3 transactions fail to download on 9/14, 9/18, and 9/23 after which they began to download again until another two failed on 11/26 and 11/29.

the Capital One lost 4 transactions between 12/11 and 12/21, then one downloaded normally on 12/30.

I always try to update from the gear icon, but it shows an empty download transaction window. I have reset the accounts. I used to rely on Quicken to know the status of my accounts, but these failures require me to log onto the credit card accounts, cross check, sometimes look up statements, and manually add the transactions in so I don't get surprised by an unexpected account balance.

I check the Quicken ending balance against the online balance, and that will often alert me to a problem. But sometimes the online balance is wrong for a few days.

This is too much work for an automated finance application that I pay for. Hope someone can help.

    Hello @oakgrrl,

Are you receiving any error codes or messages? Are the transactions that you mentioned still missing?

    Let me know!

    Hi Quicken Jasmine!

There are no error codes or messages. The transactions are still missing, and one more missing transaction has occurred intermixed with ones that do download.

    Thanks,

Is it possible that these transactions were downloaded and automatically accepted to prior months' transactions?

Are you automatically accepting downloaded transactions into your account registers?

For these downloaded transactions, do you have Scheduled Reminders in effect which, at the time of the download, haven't been recorded as real transactions yet?

It's advisable to record reminders, to convert them into real register transactions, BEFORE you download new transactions from the banks and credit card companies. That makes it easier for Quicken to correctly match downloaded data to register data.
